Getting ready for your laser hair removal session

2 November 20263 min read

A few simple steps in the days before your session help the laser work well and keep your skin comfortable.

Laser hair removal works best on skin that is calm and prepared. None of this is complicated, and your specialist will tell you exactly what applies to you at your consultation.

Keep the sun away

Avoid tanning and long hours in direct sun on the area to be treated in the weeks before your session. In Doha that mostly means covering up and using a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day.

Shave, do not pluck

The laser needs the root of the hair to be in place. Between sessions, shave the area if you need to, and avoid waxing, threading or plucking unless your specialist says otherwise.

Tell us about your medicines

Some medicines and creams make the skin more sensitive to light. Bring a list of what you take, including skincare products, so we can plan safely.

On the day

Come with clean skin, free of creams, deodorant or make-up on the treated area. Wear loose, comfortable clothes.

Every skin is different. If you are unsure about anything, call us before your appointment and we will be happy to help.

This is general advice and does not replace a consultation. Book yours and our team will plan what suits you. Book an appointment
